“Gender Checks” project curated by Bojana Pejić at Vienna’s MUMOK gathered the forces of researchers of 24 countries from the former Communist bloc around the ideas of masculinity and femininity depictions from the 1960s until today, as we celebrate the fall of the wall. This project includes a research, the exhibition at the MUMOK, a symposium and a catalogue.
